ANATOMY OF LEFT FIELD

Where Aspen trees are yellowing, what glows
____________more than anything we’ve ever been in together.

Here, here is every universe, every ring of every rock diamond or
____________sky, what is there, what is here. We are in a museum corridor,

you say something in French as if I know, as if these walls
______are translating, bienvenue a la belle vie.

What can I expect from the way seasons change? Is it hot where you are,
_____is it a desert, how can language and I get along when

all we do is dehydrate each other.

PARTIAL ANATOMY OF THE LIVING

We share
as most dead people do, light
______and smoke through esophagus.

I listen mostly with my hands these days.

When you are sleeping, when you are sleeping,
______moan from your throat
______into my body

____________with the lights on,

fully nude, through the front door. When you sleep you ask
______for someone, though not me.
